The first play I wrote was for a school puppet show. It was about the life of St. Francis of Assisi. I wanted it to be as faithful to the spirit of this great saint as possible, but short enough not to exhaust our audience! You can find out more about it below. This is my only completed play so far, but there will be others coming soon.

The Life of St Francis of Assisi
From a rich merchant's son to the Poor Man of Assisi; the story of Francis Bernardoni is known the world over, yet he has often been misunderstood - both during and after his lifetime. Far from being merely a sentimental lover of animals who spurned riches and worldly esteem, he was a man on fire with the love of God and neighbour who succeeded, during his short life, in reigniting the fire of fervor and charity in a Church growing cold and worldly. This was a man who so literally followed the Gospels that he is often said to be the saint who most perfectly resembled Christ.
For an excellent explanation of the spirit which motivated this exceptional man I found G.K.Chesterton's "St. Francis of Assisi" a fascinating read and great help, although there are of course many other good books.
